Here, Jiu-Jitsu is not just a sport; it's heritage and strength. Join a community that builds champions and character.
Our Academy
The main teacher and motivator for our athletes is Evmorfios Karnesis, a physical education professor from the University of Athens. By sharing his knowledge and experience, he’s managed to train fighters who have made a name for themselves in the martial arts world. The Black Knights are an active club that has been competing in official championships both in Greece and abroad since 2008. They’ve won big titles, including world championships, helping athletes get into universities without exams. They also have many awards at the European and Balkan levels. From 2016 until now, our club has taken first place and stands out among more than 2,500 athletes all over Greece.
Besides that, our club organizes trips and summer camps to give kids unique sports experiences that help them fall in love with athletics and make it a big part of their lives. Our ultimate goal isn’t just winning trophies and medals but helping build good, well-rounded people.

With experience dating back to 2015
At Black Knights, training never stops. For over a decade, we’ve been organizing our annual Summer Camps in Loutraki — a unique experience that blends training, fun, and teamwork. In an environment full of energy, athletes of all ages build friendships, push their limits, and create memories that stay with them forever.
At the Black Knights school, we also host seminars with distinguished Jiu-Jitsu champions from abroad. Each seminar is a rare opportunity for direct contact with world-class athletes, knowledge exchange, and a high-level hands-on experience.
These activities are an integral part of our philosophy: to continuously develop our athletes, enrich their experiences, and build a community that stands out for its passion, discipline, and professionalism.

Common Questions
Question 1: At what age can a child start practicing Jiu-Jitsu?
Answer: Children can start as early as 4–5 years old. At this age, they learn the basic principles, discipline, and cooperation through play, with training sessions tailored to their needs.
Question 2: What is the difference between traditional Jiu-Jitsu and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?
Answer: Traditional Jiu-Jitsu includes self-defense techniques, throws, strikes, and control. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses mainly on ground fighting and grappling, emphasizing submissions and opponent control.
Q3: At what age can kids start training, and should they begin with traditional Ju-Jitsu or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?
Kids can start training as early as 5–6 years old, depending on their coordination, focus, and maturity. For very young beginners, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is often recommended because it’s playful, focuses on ground techniques, and can be easier for kids to grasp. Traditional Ju-Jitsu introduces more standing techniques and throws, which can be added later as the child develops more control and confidence.
Question 4: How can I enroll in your school and what is the process?
Answer: Enrollment is very simple: you contact us, visit our facility, and fill out the digital application form. Our front desk will guide you through every step and inform you about the schedule and the equipment you’ll need.
Question 5: Can Jiu-Jitsu help my child improve their self-confidence and concentration?
Answer: Yes, Jiu-Jitsu helps children believe more in themselves, focus better, and set goals. Through training, they develop self-discipline and positive energy that stays with them even outside the tatami.
